Why hire a running coach?
Whether you're a total beginner perhaps wanting to complete your local parkrun, or a more seasoned runner with ambitions to run a marathon or further, I can help by providing structure to your training, increase your fitness and improve your times.

Having a running coach is like having a personal trainer but specifically for your running goals and activities.

The benefits of having a coach include:

- a personalised training plan, fitting into your schedule, and providing flexibility
- motivation; having someone to report back to is a powerful force!
- support; reassurance that you're doing the right thing, encouragement if you need it.

Coaching options
Before getting started, I'll need to know your running history, time available for running, and your goals. This can be an email exchange, a phone call or a meeting in person.

All programmes below are remote coaching unless otherwise stated.

You can run 5k (BEGINNER)

8 weeks (£75)

If you’ve never run before or used to but got out the habit, this is a great target to aim for. Start by walking and then move on to a combination of walking and running over the weeks until you can run 1, 2 and finally 3.1 miles without stopping. My 12-week training plan caters for all abilities.

Perk up your parkrun (INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED)

8 weeks (£75)

Maybe you’ve been going to your local parkrun for a while but can’t seem to improve your time. I can help you! With just a few weeks of specific training, you can improve your PB dramatically. This sort of training will also help you should you want to tackle a 10k or even longer distance.

Race bling!

Train for a 10k (BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED)

8 weeks (£75)

The 10k is one of the most popular race distances in running and for good reason. It’s not too scary and can be trained for in a relatively short period of time without taking over your life. Whether you’re new to the 10k or trying to improve your performance, I can provide a training schedule to help you achieve your ambitions.

Ealing Half Marathon

Ealing Half Marathon

A cheeky half (BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED)

12 weeks (£110)

Ready for something a bit longer? The half marathon is a challenge in its own right, as well as a stepping stone to the ‘big one’, the marathon. As well as a training programme to suit you and your goals, I can help with pacing, nutrition and advice on everything from kit to stretching and injury prevention.

London Marathon

London Marathon

There is more than one marathon! (BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED)

16 weeks (£150)

I know it’s the big one but don’t worry if you missed out on London - there’s a marathon virtually every week in the UK alone, and thousands overseas if you’re of a mind to travel and run. The marathon is a long way though - even if it is a slightly random 26.2 miles - and your training plan, mindset and whole approach to running this sort of distance will be a lot easier and more enjoyable with a coach and bespoke plan to help you on your journey to marathon greatness. What have you got to lose?!

Come on over to the ultra side (INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED)

16 weeks (£150)

Anyone can do an ultramarathon - although you might want to try your hand at a marathon first, just so you know what you’re letting yourself in for. Yes, there’s cake and yes, walking is positively encouraged, but a good base of fitness is also important. And the fitter you are, the more fun you’ll have. For distances beyond a marathon, experience is a huge part of the equation and with 7 ultras under my belt, I can advise on every part of the process from training plan to race day.
